Employees at Hamilton Shoppers Drug Mart locations test positive for COVID-19

A pair of front-line workers in Hamilton have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the chain’s parent company.

On Sunday (Nov. 22), Loblaw Companies Inc. report that a Shoppers Drug Mart at 1341 Main Street in Hamilton had a staff member test positive for the virus and a Shoppers at 991 King Street West also reported an employee had tested positive.

The Main Street Shoppers’ employee’s last shift was Nov. 16, while the King Street employee’s last shift was on Nov. 17.

The company’s website says that other employees who may have come into contact with said employees are instructed to follow public health guidelines, as are customers who visited the stores on the aforementioned date.
