Emergency crews on the scene of active Mississauga house fire

Mississauga firefighters are currently at the scene of an active house fire.

Reports say the fire is at a detached home on Bidwell Trail in the area of Creditview Rd. and Britannia Rd. W.

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and stop it from spreading to neighbouring homes.

There were people in the house at the time the fire broke out but reports indicate all occupants were able to safely evacuate.

Reports of the fire came in around 3 p.m. today (May 6).

Traffic through the area is being diverted away from the scene.
