Emergency crews fight house fire in Caledon, part of Mississauga Road closed

Police have closed a stretch of a major road in Caledon and are warning residents to steer clear as emergency crews deal with a house fire.

The blaze broke out before 12:30 p.m. at a home in Caledon, according to the OPP.

Police have closed Mississauga Road between Old Base Line Road to Forks of the Credit Road while firefighters and emergency crews are on the scene.

No injuries have been reported but police are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible and find alternate routes.
