The school bus driver recruitment program appears to be paying off for local bus operators – outside of Clarington, anyway.
Another 13 routes, affecting 11 schools, were cancelled in Clarington today (March 8) as operators scramble to find enough drivers to meet their obligations.
Outside of Clarington, just four routes and two schools – St. Monica Catholic and Gandatsetiagon Public in Pickering – had routes cancelled, with the bus routes provided by Stock Transport.
In Clarington, Duke of Cambridge, Bowmanville High, St. Joseph, St. Stephen High, Clarington Central High, Clarington Central Intermediate, The Pines, Clarke High, Orono Public and Vincent Massey are all seeing cancelled routes, with those school bus routes provided by Century Transport and First Student.
