Elderly woman pronounced dead after being struck by vehicle in Hamilton

One person is dead following a fatal collision in Hamilton on Saturday evening (Oct. 30).

Just after 8:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by an SUV at Barton Street and Varga Drive in Stoney Creek.

“On arrival police and emergency crews located an 84 year old female with no vital signs,” said police. “The female was pronounced at the scene.”

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate the collision and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-546-4755.
