East Hamilton watermain break to restrict traffic along portion of Barton

A major watermain break in east Hamilton will affect traffic Wednesday and early Thursday (Jan. 12-13) along a busy road in the area.

The City of Hamilton said crews are on the scene of the breakage at 1575 Barton St. E Wednesday afternoon and are working to repair it.

Lanes will be restricted along Barton Street from Glennie to Strathearne Avenue until Thursday at 6 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays in the area in the meantime.
