Early morning hit and run in Oakville results in man being taken to hospital

A man is in serious condition after what Halton Regional Police believe was a suspected hit and run in the early hours of Monday morning in Oakville.

Police are appealing for the public’s help after being contacted by someone who found the male lying on Towne Boulevard with obvious signs of trauma at 4:35 a.m.

The male victim was transported to hospital in serious condition.

Police believe the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and are asking the public’s help for any additional information.

Any witnesses or persons with dash cam or surveillance footage are asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747, ext. 5065.

Police are looking specifically for footage of the area of Towne Boulevard between Dundas Street West and River Glen Boulevard at approximately 4:15 a.m. to 4:35 a.m. on Feb. 28.
