An early morning crash is still causing delays for drivers heading to Pearson Airport in Mississauga.

A truck rollover around 3 a.m. today (Jan. 30) closed Hwy. 409 westbound traffic from Hwy. 427.

The crash caused an oil spill and clean up is ongoing, said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt in a tweet just before 4 p.m.

Hwy. 427 south and northbound are open but Pearson Airport tweeted the collision is causing delays this afternoon.

“This closure is impacting traffic around Pearson,” a spokesperson for the airport tweeted. “If you’re travelling today, please leave plenty of time to get to the airport.”

As of 3:10 p.m., 12 hours after the crash, Ontario Traveller Information 511, said all Hwy. 409 westbound lanes at Hwy. 427 were closed.

Schmidt couldn’t say when the highway would reopen.
