Durham Region Transit offering free service on New Year’s Eve

If you plan on partying in Durham this New Year’s Eve, you don’t have to worry about shelling out money for a cab or Uber.
Durham Region Transit (DRT) recently took to social media to remind residents that they can use the transit system for free for a limited time on Dec. 31.

The fare-free initiative, which applies to both scheduled and on-demand services, will kick off at 7:00 pm and run until 4:00 am on Jan. 1, 2023.
The DRT will be running on its usual Saturday schedule on Dec. 31.
