Durham Police say shooting in north Oshawa not a random incident; no suspect ID yet

Police have no suspect description in the shooting of an 18 year-old man in north Oshawa Thursday evening but are saying the shooting was not a random incident.

Durham Police were called to a report of a shooting near Britannia Avenue West and Simcoe Street North in Oshawa. The victim was in a parking lot when officers arrived on scene suffering from serious injuries He was taken to a Toronto-area trauma hospital for treatment.

Police do not believe this was a random incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
