Durham Police have made an arrest stemming from a shed fire in Uxbridge last summer that had been declared arson.
North Division officers were called to a residence on Second Street in Uxbridge July 1, 20, 2020, where they discovered an “unknown accelerant” at the scene of a fire in the backyard.
Forensic analysis on fingerprints helped identify the suspect and officers were able to make the arrest August 10 – more than a year after the fire.
The suspect, a 26 year-old Uxbridge resident, has been charged with Mischief Under $5,000 and Arson. He was released on conditions and was given a court appearance.
