Durham Regional Police investigating stabbing in Oshawa

Durham Regional Police have closed off parts of Simcoe St N in Oshawa following a stabbing incident this morning.

On Sunday (Mar. 12) at approximately 5:30 a.m., police responded to a call to investigate a stabbing in the area of Simcoe St N and Adelaide Avenue in Oshawa.

Police say they have closed off Simcoe St N in both directions, between Brock Street and Adelaide Avenue and it will remain that way for several hours until roads are open again to motorists.

At this time, there is no suspect information available and police believe it is an isolated incident.

The victim’s identity is unknown as well as the severity of the injuries.

With the ongoing investigation, police are asking motorists to choose alternate routes.

UPDATE: Durham police have now opened the roads to motorists.
