Drug trafficking investigation leads to weapons, drug charges for Oakville man, woman

The Halton Regional Police's street crime unit has arrested a man and woman in relation to a drug trafficking investigation in Oakville. Items seized included approximately 10 grams of cocaine. HRPS PHOTO

A local man and woman are under arrest and facing numerous charges as a result of a police investigation into drug trafficking in an Oakville neighbourhood.

Halton Regional Police launched the investigation in March of this year into drug transactions that were taking place in the area of Churchill Av. and North Service Rd. E.

A Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant was executed on March 30 at an address on Churchill Av.  As a result of the search, the following items were seized (above photo:

  • Approximately 60 grams of methamphetamine
  • Approximately 10 grams of cocaine
  • Drug indicia including digital scales, packaging, Canadian currency, debt lists, etc.
  • Two (2) home-made conductive energy weapons
  • A prohibited switch-blade
  • A canister of pepper spray

Henderson Bowen, 66, of Oakville was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (2 counts)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Trafficking – Methamphetamine

Jennifer Patrick, 46, of Oakville was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (2 counts)
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (2 counts)

Both Bowen and Patrick were released on a promise to return to court at a later date.
