Warehouse raid uncovers $1 million in stolen property, Brampton and Mississauga men charged

Durham Regional Police found more than $1 million of stolen goods and arrested five men after a warehouse raid in Etobicoke.
Two DRPS’ Property Crime Units based in Oshawa and Whitby have been investigating a break in at an LCBO warehouse in the Region since January.
People broke into the warehouse and stole an unspecified amount of alcohol and transportation equipment.
Months later, DRPS executed a search warrant at an Etobicoke warehouse and found more than $1 million in product stolen from numerous businesses across the GTA.
In all police arrested five suspects on a battery of charges;
- A 39-year-old man of Barrie, faces numerous charges which include:
- two counts of committing a break and enter at a business,
- intent to break and enter a business,
- two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000,
- five counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000,
- possession of break-in instruments,
- failure to stop for police,
- dangerous operation,
- theft of a motor vehicle and
- driving with a suspended license.
- A 29-year-old man from Brampton is looking similar charges:
- two counts of committing a break and enter at a business,
- intent to break and enter a business,
- five counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000,
- two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000,
- possession of break-in instruments,
- failure to stop for police,
- three counts of failure to comply with release order and,
- theft of motor vehicle
- A 35-year-old male, of Mississauga faces:
- six counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000,
- trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000.
- A 50-year-old man from Brampton, is also charged with:
- six counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and
- trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000.
- A 56-year-old man from Mississauga, is charged with:
- six counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and
- trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000.
