A local driving instructor may want to brush up on the rules of the road after they were stopped for driving with “extremely tinted” windows in Brampton.
The traffic stop happened on Thursday when Peel Regional Police say an officer with the road safety team spotted a vehicle belonging to a driving school in the area of Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue in Brampton.
Police say the driver was a driving instructor and was behind the wheel at the time of the stop, saying that the vehicle had “extremely tinted front windows, including tint on the windshield.”
“In this case the driver was the instructor,” police said in a post online.
A picture from the scene shared by police shows a white car with very dark windows, and the name of the driving school blanked out.
A spokesperson for Peel police said the driving instructor was charged with two offences for allegedly driving with the windshield and windows coated and an obstructed view.
Police have not released the name of the driver or the instruction company.
