Commuters may be in for some delays along a normally well-used Burlington road later this week.

Dundas St. will be reduced to one lane in both directions over the Tansley Bridge on May 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

As well, a second night of lane restrictions will be required during the week of May 15, 2023; the exact date will be announced later.

Carried out by Halton Region, the work is designed to meet expected future traffic demands along Dundas St. along the northern parts of Burlington and Oakville. The route attracts 40,000 daily users.

Once complete, parts of Dundas will be expanded to six lanes, bike and walking paths will be added, and new traffic signals and street lights will be installed.
