Police stopped the same driver twice in an hour for suspected traffic violations in Brampton.

The first time officers stopped the driver at Centre Street North and Vodden Street East because the car appeared to have unregistered plates, Peel Regional Police said on X this morning (Oct. 13).

Officers seized the license plates and charged the driver, police said.

But one hour later, officers found the same driver travelling without plates.

This time police had the vehicle towed.

The driver faces charges of use of plates not authorized, fail to apply for permit, fail to surrender permit, no insurance and driving without plates.
