Driver shortage problems persist with cancellations in Ajax, Pickering, Port Perry and Uxbridge

First Student’s transportation problems are continuing Friday morning as ongoing driver shortages continue to plague the company with 16 more routes cancelled in Uxbridge, Pickering and Ajax.

The problem has also spread to other bus operators with four Century Transportation routes in Port Perry and four Stock Transportation routes in Pickering also cancelled today.

Affected schools include Uxbridge Secondary, Uxbridge Public, Scott Central Public, Goodwood Public and St. Joseph Catholic in Uxbridge; St. Elizabeth Catholic, Biidaasige Mandamin Public and Pickering High in Ajax; St. Mary’s High and St. Patrick Catholic in Pickering; and Port Perry High, RH Cornish Public and SA Cawker Public schools in Port Perry.
