Driver passed police while going 94 km over speed limit in Brampton

A driver has been penalized after being caught going over double the speed limit in Brampton.

Police say the 22 year old male was going 154 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone on Wanless Drive when he passed by Peel police officer Cst. Gill.

“Cst. Gill was able to hear this vehicle approaching his location and was quick enough to catch the speed of this 22 year old male driver,” said police.

The driver was charged and had his vehicle impounded and towed from the scene.

His identity and charges have not been disclosed by police at this time.
