Driver of stolen vehicle smashed into police cruiser in Brampton before fleeing scene

Police are searching for a driver who intentionally crashed into a police cruiser in Brampton and then sped away.

At around 1 a.m. on Friday, July 30, a Peel Regional Police vehicle was intentionally struck by a stolen, grey, 2012 Honda Civic at Hurontario St. and County Court Blvd.

The driver failed to remain at the scene and was last seen southbound on Hurontario to westbound Hwy. 407.

Police found the abandoned vehicle, however the unknown driver is still currently at large.

Police are asking anyone with information, video surveillance, or dashcam footage in or around Lisgar Dr. and Derry Rd. between 1 and 3 a.m. to contact investigators at 22 Division at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233.
