Driver hospitalized after transport truck crash on Highway 401 in Mississauga

One person has been charged and hospitalized following a recent collision in Mississauga.

The crash involved a transport truck loaded with auto parts on westbound Highway 401, west of Mavis Rd.

Police say the truck entered a closed construction area, struck barrels, then collided with a mound of dirt.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries, and is being charged with careless driving.
