Update: Driver flees scene following major collision in Brampton

A multi-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Airport Road and Clark Boulevard in Brampton this evening (Aug. 3).

According to Peel Regional Police, two or three vehicles were involved in the crash and one of the vehicles failed to remain at the scene.

A woman and a child who were involved in the accident were being assessed by Peel Paramedics.

The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.

Police say the incident was first reported at 7:23 p.m. and authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the crash.

The area of the accident will remain closed until further notice. Residents and commuters are asked to choose alternate routes of travel.
