A driver was arrested up in Port Perry over the long weekend after reports came in he couldn’t stay in his lane, drifting onto the shoulder and oncoming traffic.

The call came in on July 29. Police did not specify what time but the attached image shows broad daylight. Witnesses call 911 to report the driver of a crossover was unable to stay in their lane.

Cops caught up to the car on Hwy 7A and Scugog St and pulled him over. Further investigation discovered the driver, who had a suspended licence, had taken the car without the owner’s permission.

The driver, a Scugog man age 34, was charged with impaired driving, taking a car without consent, failure to comply with a demand, and two counts of driving while suspended.
