Drinks, meat products, and clothing recalled from stores in Mississauga and Brampton

A drink product and various other products are being recalled in Ontario this week (Jan.30 – Feb. 5) posing potential health risks. This includes stores in Mississauga and Brampton.

Residents are being advised to check if they have these products at home and should avoid consumption.

The following products are affected:


Nutrifresh Falooda Drinks

Risks: A products label with undeclared ingredients could be harmful to those allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

What you should do: Do not serve, consume or sell and products should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase.


Apetito HFS and Heart to Home Meals

Risks: Apetito HFS brand and Heart to Home brand is recalling meatball products because of undeclared egg, gluten, milk and wheat. Individuals with celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders could have a serious or life-threatening reaction.

What you should do: It is advised to not consume the product and either throw it out or return to the store where it was bought from.


Cedar Phoenicia brand Pindjur Vegetable Spread

Risks: Pieces of glass are reported to be found in the product which could potentially cause fatal injuries if ingested.

What you should do: Avoid consumption of the product and throw away immediately.


Resinate Epoxy Hardener

Risks: According to Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act the product does not meet the child-resistant packaging requirements.

What you should do: Stop using the product and keep it out of reach of children. Consumers are asked to contact the company for a replacement.


Helly Hansen sweaters and hoodies

Risks: The product is a flammable hazard. The fabrics of the affected products have undergone a specific treatment, that may not comply with the Textile Flammability Regulations.

What you should do: Stop using the sweaters and hoodies, and contact the company for a credit note.

  • 79210 – Manchester Half Zip Sweatshirt
  • 79212 – Manchester Zip Sweatshirt
  • 79213 – W Manchester Zip Sweatshirt
  • 79214 – Manchester Hoodie
  • 79215 – W Manchester Hoodie
  • 79216 – Manchester Zip Hoodie
  • 79217 – W Manchester Zip Hoodie
  • 41741 – JR Graphic Hoodie
  • 53525 – Stripe Hybrid Jacket
  • 53579 – YU Crew Sweater
  • 53582 – YU Hoodie 2.0

As of  Jan 29, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in connection with the affected products.
