DRIFF in a Jiff returns to Oshawa with award-winning animated short

DRIFF in a Jiff returns to the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa Friday for a screening of Frida in the Sky, an animated short film that was a semi-finalist for the 2023 Student Academy Awards.

Directed by Dani Sudan, the film follows the adventures of Frida, an 8-year-old engineering prodigy, who builds an airplane behind her mother’s back to follow in her Abuela’s legacy.

The short film (6:14) will be screened at 7:15 p.m. and then again at 8:15 p.m.
