DRIFF Fall Festival is back in Whitby, Ajax and Oshawa

DRIFF’s fall festival is back this year with a weekend chock-full of inspiring films from across Canada and around the globe.

DRIFF – Durham Region International Film Festival – just wrapped up its summer drive-in series (Shifting the Narrative) and now turns its attention to their popular fall festival, back after a one-year hiatus.

Awards will be presented to films in the following categories:

  • Best Student Film
  • Best Short Film
  • People’s Choice
  • Best Feature Film and
  • Best Regional Film

Opening night of the festival will be Thursday, September 29 at the Centennial Building (416 Centre St. S) in Whitby. Night two screenings will be held at St. Francis Centre for Community Arts & Culture (78 Church St. S) in Ajax and the closing night showing will be at the Biltmore Theatre (39 King St. E) in downtown Oshawa.

‘DRIFF On-Demand’ screenings will be held from October 2-9. Details coming soon on the program, virtual screenings and tickets.

The media launch for the festival will be September 21 at the Station Gallery in Whitby.
