The collaborative album by Drake and PartyNextDoor uses a familiar Mississauga image on the cover.

Mississauga’s most iconic buildings are showing up on the cover of a new album by Drake in collaboration with PartyNextDoor.

Absolute Condos, also known as the Marilyn Monroe buildings because of their curvy design, is featured on the cover of the album $OME $SEXY $ONGS 4 U.

On the cover can be seen two fur-clad figures standing in the snow with the towers at Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road in the background.

The image, a teaser appearing on social media today, doesn’t provide much explanation but it pays homage to the hometown of Jahron Anthony Brathwaite — also known as PartyNextDoor — who attended Applewood Heights Secondary School before launching his musical career which has led to a Grammy Award nomination.

The full-length collaboration is a long time in coming even though the duo have worked together in the past on individual songs.

Fifteen tracks are expected on the new album which is expected to be released by Valentine’s Day.

PartyNextDoor was the first artist to sign with Drake’s OVO Sound label in 2013 where he released his first album.

Drake, Toronto’s biggest brand ambassador, has said he expects to release his next solo album later this year.
