Internationally known drag entertainer Tynomi Banks will perform at Pearson Airport in Mississauga today (June 27).

Pearson Airport announced they are celebrating Pride Month with a performance from Banks who appeared on the first season of Canada’s Drag Race.

The performance will be at Terminal 1, International Arrivals today (June 27) from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., the airport said in a tweet.

Born in Jamaica, Banks grew up in Pickering and rose to fame as a drag performer.

“Her hustle lead her to become the first Drag Entertainer to perform in Toronto’s Dundas Square during World Pride 2014,” Bank’s website reads.

During Pride 2018, she became the first drag entertainer to work with Hudson’s Bay Company. She partnered with Spotify for a featured playlist and has worked with well-known brand Sephora, Shoppers Beauty, Amazon, Absolut, Netflix, Crest, and Ikea, according to her website.

Pearson Airport has celebrated Pride throughout the month of June sharing stories from members of their Employee Resource Group (ERG), Rainbow Runway.
