Downtown Oshawa stabbing sends victim to hospital with serious injuries

Police have a suspect is in custody after a stabbing Wednesday afternoon in downtown Oshawa that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.
Durham Regional Police said the incident happened near Simcoe St. N and Bond Street (very near the Oshawa central police station and former police headquarters) mid-afternoon yesterday.
Police were asking residents and drivers to avoid the area Wednesday while the investigation was ongoing.
More information will be released Thursday.
