Hamilton Police released the findings of a six-month investigation into a fatal collision at Centennial Pkwy and King St.

Police are investigating after a person was injured during a break and enter at a home in downtown Hamilton on Monday morning (April 11).

According to police, officers were called to the home in the area of King Street and Strathcona Ave. shortly after 2 a.m. to reports of a break and enter.

Upon arrival, the three suspects in the incident had fled the area but after setting up a perimeter in the area and with the help of the K9 unit, one suspect has been arrested, police told IntheHammer in an email.

The resident of the home sustained minor injuries in the incident but declined any medical treatment. Police said they are still working with the victim to determine what, if anything, was taken from the home.

Investigators believe there are two more suspects in the case that remain outstanding and they say that the victim and the suspect(s) likely know each other.

The investigation remains ongoing.
