Downtown festival kicks off the summer season in Milton

Whether it’s food, music, or fun you’re after, the annual kickoff to the summer season in Milton has something for everyone.

SummerFest is being held on Main Street from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.

“Hosted by the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area, with support from the Town of Milton, SummerFest features local businesses and vendors, live entertainment, kids’ activities and more,” said a BIA spokesperson.

“For the kids, there will be activities like bouncy castles, rock climbing, Lego, games and more.”

As always, two stages will allow all-day entertainment.

On the BMO Stage, located at Main and Fulton streets, will be:

  • Noon-12:45 p.m. ACME Hi-Fi
  • 1-1:45 p.m. The 2 Dollar Bills
  • 2:15-2:45 p.m. Urban Cowboy Line Dancing
  • 3-3:45 p.m. 16 Miles Out
  • 4-4:45 p.m. The Decent Blokes
  • 5-5:45 p.m. Merritt Driven
  • 6-6:45 p.m. Maddy Little
  • 7-8 p.m. Gavin McLeod

At the SummerFest Performance Area, located at Main and Brown streets, will be:

  • 12:15-1 p.m. Academy of Music
  • 1-2 p.m. House of Chords
  • 2:15-3 p.m. Milton Concert Band
  • 3:15-4 p.m. Team Extreme
  • 4-4:45 p.m. South Asian Mommies of Milton
  • 5:15-6 p.m. Tree Top Poets
  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. Bourbon & Co.

The popular vendor marketplace will include dozens of stalls, from local craftspeople to major brands, community and non-profit groups, service-based industries, and plenty of food and beverage locations.
