Downed wires results in road closures and injuries in the GTA

Downed wires have resulted in road closures and multiple injuries in Toronto.

According to reports from city police, on Danforth and Broadview Ave, a tree falling caused several downed wires, which resulted in two elderly women sustaining injuries around 1:30 p.m.

Police have not reported the severity of these injuries or the identities of the two women.

Eastbound Danforth Ave is closed from Broadview Ave, and police are urging motorists to use an alternate route while paramedic and fire teams remain on the scene.
