There is no timeline yet for resolving a power outage in Burlington that is the result of a downed powerline.
Amid muggy temperatures for mid-June, more than 250 customers of Burlington Hydro in the area of Spring Gardens Road and the Royal Botanical Gardens lost their hydro late on Thursday afternoon (June 16). The utility company says that a pole was broken, leading to a line coming down.
As well, around 32 customers in the Waterdown Rd. area are without power. However, Burlington Hydro says that outage is not showing on their digital map.

Burlington and Hamilton are both under a heat warning, with the humidex having soared into the 40C range. Heavy rain also fell in the area earlier in the afternoon.
The affected residents are likely to be their hydro back later on Thursday evening. In the meantime, residents should stay at least 10 metres (32.8 feet) away from a downed line.
