Downed line in Aldershot leaves dozens of Burlington homes and businesses without power

Burlington Hydro says it will be several hours before a handful of homes and businesses in the west end of the city have their power returned.
Extensive damage was caused when a tree fell on power lines on Spring Gardens Rd., near Royal Botanical Gardens in Aldershot.
Burlington Hydro said the tree has been removed and crews are on-site trying to get the lines back up and running. The work is expected to last most of the day.
About 50 homes and businesses have been affected by the service disruption.
