Double shooting, stabbing at Newtonville house party

Three men are in hospital, two with gunshot wounds, after a house party in Newtonville turned ugly Saturday night.

Durham Regional Police were called to Concession Rd. 4 near Newtonville Rd. at approximately 1:45 a.m. after reports of an armed person in the area.

East Division officers arrived on scene to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds. A third male was grazed by a bullet.

Reports are that Durham paramedics on the scene had to perform life-saving treatment to the gunshot victims before they could be rushed to a Toronto trauma centre. They remain in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say that a fourth male attended a local hospital for stab wounds while officers were investigating on scene.

There is no suspect description to be released at this time. Durham Regional Police appeal to witnesses and ask anyone with cellphone video footage to come forward.
