Local legends The Doozies kicked off the Troubadour Series of concerts in Oshawa Saturday.

The band managed to get a quick set in under a tent before the rains came in Saturday afternoon on Victoria Street, a pedestrian-only block adjacent to the Regent Theatre in downtown Oshawa.

The Troubadour Series is a free weekend concert series featuring music from Oshawa Music Awards winners and nominees, musical theatre performers from Mansfield Entertainment (“Mamma Mia!”, “We Will Rock You”), along with top-notch local performers.

The concert series is presented by Mansfield Entertainment and produced by Rick Kerr, with sponsorship from Durham Tourism, BIG R&D and URBN MRKT Picks, as well as Ontario Tech University.

Shows run every Saturday (weather permitting, Covid precautions in effect) at 4 pm, 5:15 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:45 pm, and 9 pm.
