Don’t miss property tax due dates coming soon in Brampton

The due dates to pay your property taxes in Brampton are approaching fast, and the city is reminding homeowners how to avoid late fees.

The final property tax bills of the year were sent out last month and cover the last six months of 2026. The bills may also include updates to assessed value, tax rates, cancellations or supplementary taxes.

Final payment due dates are July 22, Aug. 19 and Sept. 23, and the city is urging property owners to review their bill and make payments by the due dates to avoid penalties or interest.

The City charges 1.25 per cent interest per month on unpaid balances, starting the day after a payment due date is missed. At over a year, interest adds up to approximately 15 per cent.

“Property taxes support the everyday services residents rely on, including transit, fire services, libraries, road maintenance, snow clearing and recreation programs,” the city says. “Paying on time helps residents avoid late fees while supporting the delivery of services across the city.”

Residents can pay property taxes using cheque, debit, in person at all Service Brampton locations or their bank, through the bank’s website, or the city’s pre-authorized payment plan.

Walk-ins are welcome at all Service Brampton locations, and no appointments are required:

  • City Hall.
  • Cassie Campbell Community Centre.
  • Brampton Soccer Centre.
  • Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library.

All locations accept debit and cheque payments. For more information, visit www.Brampton.ca.
