It’s time to start planning how to get active this spring as residents can get a sneak peek at Brampton recreation and sports programs as of next week.

Starting on Monday, residents will be able to view the full slate of offerings from City of Brampton’s Spring 2024 recreation programs before they register.

The city is making the full line-up available early online so residents can learn more about different programs and plan ahead. Here are some key dates to remember when thinking about signing up for Brampton recreation programs:

Brampton Sports League – Feb. 26 at 6 a.m.

Adult (18+) spring leagues include ball hockey, volleyball and ultimate frisbee.

Residents aged 18 and over will be able to sign up as part of an already assembled team or as free agents, and every registered player receives a reversible jersey for “home” and “away” games.

Spring 2024 recreation programs – March 4 at 6 a.m.

Programs include sports, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and general interest programs.

Skating and Swimming – March 18 at 6 a.m.

Learn to Swim and Learn to Skate program registration is open early for Brampton residents, with non-resident program registration on March 24.

Recreation programs can be in high demand, and the city say put together a list of tips to help streamline the sign-up process:

  • Add your credit card information
  • Plan ahead and browse available courses
  • Make a list of top choices
  • Don’t refresh the page while payment is being processed
