Burlington’s Santa Claus parade is returning to an in-person event this year and residents are being encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation which the Burlington Teen Tour Boosters will be collecting in support of the City’s Food Bank.

The parade, which will take place in downtown Burlington on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2:00 p.m., will begin at Guelph Line from Prospect St. to New St.

Along the parade route, carriers from Canada Post will be collecting letters for Santa, so residents are encouraged to bring them.

Representatives from the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Cub will also be collecting donations in support of the parade on behalf of the parade organizing committee.

Prospect St. from Cumberland Ave. to Guelph Line will be closed beginning at 11:30 a.m. for parade staging.

Residents are reminded that impacted roads on the parade route will be closed from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) will be supervising all closures and direct traffic at major intersections. Emergency Services access will be maintained at all times along the route.
