Disney toys, several cheese brands and chili powder recalled from stores in Mississauga and Brampton

Multiple dairy items, seasonings, and children’s toys have been recalled from retailers in Ontario, including stores in Mississauga and Brampton.
Le Fromage au Village and FreshFun Fantastic brand
Risk: The product is contaminated with the microbial Listeria. It may not look or smell spoiled but can make you sick if consumed. Symptoms include vomiting, nausea, fever, neck stiffness, and severe headaches. Those who are elderly, pregnant, or have weak immune systems are at risk the most.
What you should do: Check to see if you have the recalled product and throw it out. If you have fallen sick after consuming the product, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
PC brand Canadian Cheddar Cheese
Risk: The product is contaminated with the microbial Listeria. Those who are elderly, pregnant, or have weak immune systems are at risk the most.
What you should do: If you have the recalled product, throw it out. If you have fallen ill after consuming the product, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
1001 Fondues brand La Fondue au Village
Risk: The product is contaminated with the microbial Listeria. Those who are elderly, pregnant, or have weak immune systems are at risk the most.
What you should do: Check to see if you have the recalled product and throw it out. If you have fallen sick after consuming the product, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Shirakiku brand Chili Pepper Powder
Risk: The product contains undeclared sesame seeds. This could cause mild to severe cases of hives, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, and even death.
What you should do: It is advised to not sell or consume the recalled product and to throw it in the garbage.
Kids Preferred Disney Baby “My First” Vinyl Figurines
Risk: The arms and legs on the figurines are detachable which can pose a choking hazard to young children.
As of February 14, 2023, there have been no reports of incidents or injuries related to the product in Canada.
What you should do: Immediately stop using products and contact the Kids Preferred company for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund.
