You don’t need a time machine or a ticket to Jurassic Park if you’re looking to learn about dinosaurs at the Brampton Library.

Brampton residents can get a blast from the past this month when the library opens up its collection of dinosaur skulls, teeth, claws and more. The interactive presentation is part of Club Rex,” which gives kids and parents a close-up look at some extinct behemoths.

“If you have a dino-obsessed kid, you are in the right place,” the library says. “Join Club Rex as we explore dinosaurs and the prehistoric world, and learn about recent discoveries.”

Budding paleontologists will also get to play the role of dinosaur detectives, working to identify dinosaurs using fossils.

The program runs on Thursday, Aug. 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the South Fletcher’s Brampton Library branch, and again from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant location.
