Dim sum, coolers, children’s accessories and pajama’s recalled from Mississauga and Brampton stores

With a new week around the corner, it looks like Health Canada is continuing to recall even more items from Mississauga, Brampton, and other stores across Ontario.

Residents are asked to check their homes for the following products and either dispose of them or take it back to the store, where it was purchased for a refund.

Fisherman’s Wharf Dim Sum brand

Many flavours of this product are being recalled from the marketplace because they contain egg, gluten and wheat which was not declared on the label.

Risk: Those suffering from celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders, should not consume the recalled products as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

What you should do: The item should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.


YETI Soft Coolers and Gear Case

Hopper® M30

Several models of this bag that are available in various colours are being recalled. The magnet-lined closures of these products can fail by breaking or detaching.

Risk: Ingestion hazard if consumed can lead to serious injury or death.

What you should do: Customers should discontinue use and contact YETI Canada to coordinate the return of the product for a suggested replacement product of equal or greater value or a gift card.

As of March 3, 2023, the company received one incident report in Canada, but no reports of magnet ingestions or related injuries.


Calico Critters accessories

Pacifier and bottle accessories sold with Calico Critters Flocked Animal Figures

Select pacifiers and bottle accessories with Calico Critters flocked animal figures are affected.

The pacifiers were sold in yellow, orange, pink, dark pink, blue and teal colours.

The bottles were sold in yellow, pink, blue and orange colours. One style of the bottle has two yellow handles.

The product contains small parts which are not suitable for children under 3 years.

Risk: Potential choking hazard to children under 3 years of age.

What you should do: Immediately stop using items and contact Epoch Everlasting Play LLC for a free replacement accessory.


P. J. Salvage Children’s Pajamas

P.J. Salvage pajama set in tie-dye black

The pajama sets that were sold in sizes x-small, small, medium, large and x-large in the following colors and print patterns: camo print in olive, tie dye in black, and striped in light blue and charcoal are affected.

The children’s pajamas fail to meet the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear.

Risk: Poses the risk of burn injuries to children.

What you should do: Stop using the recalled products, keep them out of reach of children and dispose of them.

As of February 28, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
