Did anyone win the $40 million lottery jackpot in Canada?

The gold ball jackpot stood at $40 million for Wednesday night’s Lotto 6/49 draw, while the classic jackpot was at its fixed $5 million.

So was anyone lucky enough to win either of the big prizes?

For the classic jackpot, no one matched six out of six numbers to claim the prize, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

However, two tickets got five out of six numbers plus the bonus to win $113,437.30.

Sixty-four tickets matched five out of six numbers to win $1,488.50.

In terms of the gold ball draw, a white ball was pulled.

That means the jackpot wasn’t won and a $1 million prize was handed out to one ticket instead.

Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw will feature the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as the gold ball jackpot at $42 million, or a $1 million prize.
