Detour on major Mississauga street this weekend due to LRT construction

Part of a major Mississauga street will be closed all weekend to accommodate ongoign construction of the Hurontario LRT.
Bristol Road at Hurontario Street will be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday (April 23) to 7 p.m. Sunday (April 24), as Peel Public Works crews continue utility relocation. Detour signage has been erected in order to help direct motorists and cyclists.

Weekend construction in the area began on the third weekend of March.
The Hurontario LRT, which will be known as the Hazel McCallion Line in honour the centarian former mayor of Mississauga once it is ready, is expected to open in the fall of 2024. The 18-km, 19-stops line will run from from the Port Credit GO Station to the Brampton Gateway Terminal. It will include 19 stops and connect to GO Transit, the Mississauga Transitway, Brampton Transit, ZUM and MiWay.
