A new sweet treat from Quebec has come to Mississauga.

Mr. Puffs, a dessert shop, just opened its first location in Mississauga.

Billy Siounis founded Mr. Puffs in 2004 in Montreal and there are now locations across Quebec along with a recently opened shop in Whitby.

But the new location at Heartland Towncentre, 700 Matheson Blvd. W. is the first for Mississauga.

“We’re so happy to finally open up in your community!” Mr. Puffs posted on Instagram. “Visit us for the best desserts and refreshing drinks! Congrats once again to our franchisees Gobin Giritharan and Shyam Ponnampalam!”

The new location is planning a grand opening celebration with a DJ and Mr. Puffs mascot this Saturday.

The donut-like puffs are made fresh with more than 15 topping options including apple cinnamon, Bueno, cappuccino and hazelnut chocolate. Many toppings are vegan-friendly.

The dough is yeast-based, made with simple ingredients such as flour, cinnamon and water. They are egg- and lactose-free and made without trans fats.

The menu also has fun milkshake flavours like Chips Ahoy or KitKat, and decant shakes topped with cookies or puffs. They also serve coffee, tea and soft-serve ice cream.
