Environment Canada issued a weather statement for fog in parts of southern Ontario Friday morning.
“Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring,” Environment and Climate Change Canada said in the statement. “Dense fog patches have developed overnight.”
The statement is in effect for Hamilton, the Niagara Region and Northern Ontario.
But Pearson Airport in Mississauga noted they are watching for fog.
Hamilton Police noted the fog is thick.
“We’re seeing thick fog on Hamilton Mountain this morning, significantly reducing visibility,” Hamilton Police said on X. “Please slow down, turn on your headlights, and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.”
The weather statement said visibility will be reduced to near zero in some areas.
The fog is expected to dissipate this morning.
