Hamilton's Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway to close for extended period for maintenance

Hamilton motorists might have to re-route on Wednesday due to roadwork at one of the entry points to the Lincoln M. Alexander Expressway (LINC).

The on-ramp at westbound Mohawk Road to the LINC will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for concrete curb and asphalt shoulder repairs.

“Please plan ahead as delays are anticipated in this area,” Ward 12 Coun. Craig Cassar wrote in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.

The 12.5-km municipal expressway runs from the west end of Hamilton to the east Mountain, serving as a bypass road that connects Highway 403 with the Red Hill Valley Parkway. The Red Hill (also known as RHVP) continues north to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW).
