Brampton death construction inquest

The province is planning an inquest into the death of Luis Pinto, a 44-year-old who died while working at a Brampton construction site more than a decade ago.

Pinto died in hospital on May 25, 2013, after suffering injuries while on the job in Brampton.

The inquest, which is scheduled to begin on Nov. 14, will examine the circumstances surrounding Pinto’s death and is expected to last three days. The jury will hear from six witnesses and could make recommendations aimed at preventing future workplace deaths.

Dr. Robert Boyko will be the presiding officer and Grace Alcaide Janicas will be the inquest counsel.

The inquest is set for Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. and members of the public can watch a live stream of the inquest or check back with Insauga.com for more updates.
