There’s an evening of traditional dance, live music, food and cultural happening this Friday in Brampton’s Chinguacousy Park.
Back for another year, Brampton’s free community Garba starts at 7 p.m. and will feature food, live performances from both local and international acts, and much more.
Garba is a traditional dance that originated in India’s Gujarat region, and is known for its lively, joyful style of dance, colourful clothing and energetic music.
This year’s event features live performances by talented local artists and a special headlining performance by internationally celebrated Garba artist Rutvi Pandya.
Food vendors will have a selection of authentic Indian cuisine, and guests are encouraged to wear their finest traditional Garba attire to fully immerse themselves in the celebration.
Organized in partnership with Humans for Harmony, a community group committed to fostering inclusion and unity through cultural experiences, the Community Garba is a free, family-friendly event that showcases Brampton’s multicultural community.
