DAILY UPDATE: Three new Catholic schools in Brampton, Mississauga reporting COVID-19 cases on Oct. 1

Three new Catholic schools in Brampton and Mississauga Catholic reported cases of COVID-19 among staff and students this morning, Oct. 1.
There are now 37 schools in the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board that are reporting ongoing cases of COVID-19. Seven schools dropped off the list overnight as earlier cases were resolved and the quarantine period for students ended.
The board currently has 51 active student cases, down from 53, two staff cases, down from 3, seven probable cases, down from 10, and 44 closed classrooms, down from 59 the previous day.
A closed classroom means the children from that class are sent home to learn remotely during a quarantine period of at least 10 days.
